Chris Morris

Chris Morris founded Calculated Designs in 2006 with a mission to elevate the standard of residential design in Yuma. With nearly two decades of leadership at the helm of the firm — and over 30 years of experience in the industry — Chris brings a rare blend of field-tested construction knowledge, deep code expertise, and an uncompromising eye for detail.

Before launching Calculated Designs, Chris spent 10 years as a material estimator and sales representative, gaining firsthand insight into building systems, lumber takeoffs, and what it takes to make a design truly buildable. He is also a state-licensed general contractor, giving him a practical advantage when producing permit-ready plans that align with real-world construction needs.

In addition to running the firm, Chris has served on the City of Yuma Residential Advisory Board since 2016 and was elected to the Yuma City Council in 2020, where he also served as Deputy Mayor. His leadership has focused on smart growth, streamlined permitting, and strengthening the connection between design professionals and city planning.
